Our portfolio company Marketplanet has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in PortalPZP. Marketplanet is a leader in the Polish B2B e-commerce sector, providing IT solutions to support purchasing procedures in companies as well as in public administration. PortalPZP, in turn, is, among other things, the operator of the Smart PZP platform used to support planning and procurement processes in public administration. Apart from that, Smart PZP offers cloud-based purchasing tools for entrepreneurs as well. Thus, the merger has contributed to creating a significant player in the domestic public procurement market.
The transaction has already been written about in by Mariusz Bartodziej in Puls Biznesu, while Tomasz Stamirowski, managing partner of Avallon MBO, commented on the transaction in the very same magazine.
