Hortimex is a family business in operation since 1988. It acts as a confrontation platform for foreign producers of advanced food raw materials thanks to which they can meet potential customers – food producers from Poland. The company offers support in the sale and distribution of their products to food companies existing on the Polish market. It also provides assistance in the development and strengthening of business relationships between the two groups of producers. In turn, food producers are provided with expert advice on the development of unique recipes in line with the latest global trends and the supply of functional raw materials.
After the purchase of Hortimex, the Avallon’s portfolio includes seven other firms: Wosana – representing the food industry, Stangl Technik – a company offering installation services, EDC Expert – a marketing company, Marketplanet – purchasing platform, Novo Tech – a company dealing in polymer processing, Clovin – a company supplying cleaning products, and Norlys – a manufacturer of premium lamps and outdoor lighting.
Avallon is currently seeing a lot of interest in potential acquisitions of its portfolio companies and their future exits. At the same time, the fund is actively looking for further investments. Avallon MBO III fund has accumulated EUR 137 million to spend on this very purpose.
